I haven't posted in a bit but I haven't really had much to report. We are finally starting Occupational Therapy again on the 26th but we still don't have a new Speech Therapist which is terrible but we are working with Austin at home using techniques that we have learned with previous therapists.
When we went to the developmental pediatrician, Austin had bloodwork done to see if his Autism or delays could be attributed to genetics. He was tested for FISH, Angelmans, Fragile X, and some other DNA general stuff and we just found out all of tests came back negative. We were pretty sure that would happen but the doctor did wonder about Fragile X and that has had me on edge for a few weeks b/c Austin does have some signs of that. I can honestly say that it is a relief b/c now I still feel like I can hope that one day he will just catch up to others his age especially with therapy and possibly with being GFCF.
Other than that, not much has been going on except that we are getting ready for Thanksgiving and Christmas and doing a bit of shopping. And I am planning to make a Austin a GFCF Thanksgiving meal! We would not want him to miss out on all that goodness!
